Current Room Description: The room is used as a living room area that is in an L-shape. The longest wall space has two windows that are evenly spaced and the adjacent smaller wall has one window as well. The larger wall that is adjacent to the wall with two windows has a door that goes to the kitchen.
Listed below are the exact dimensions of the space: Longest wall: 448 inches Wall with a single window: 192 inches Wall with door to kitchen: 256 inches Smallest wall: 64 inches Longer remaining wall: 272 inches Shorter remaining wall: 176 inches Window Length: 64 inches each Space between windows: 96 inches Client: The client you are working with is a woman named Cheryl. Cheryl has a husband and two young children (ages 3 years and 4 years). Cheryl’s family also has a large german shepherd dog. Problem: Cheryl has contacted you because she is interested in transforming her living room to make it more functional for her family. At the moment, the living room space has minimal furniture. There is a 3 person couch facing the TV and a single bookshelf that is overflowing with books and DVDs. The problem that Cheryl has is that her two children have so many toys that they like to play with in the living room and no place to put them. Also, Cheryl would like to have more seating for guests in the living area along with a coffee table and perhaps a second book shelf. Lastly, she would like a space in the living room for her dog - whether it be a doggy bed or a cage. Your Assignment: Draw a floor plan that meets the needs of your client. Include drawings of new furniture in your floorplan. Also, include a collage of images of furniture and deocr that you plan on including in the space. You may either choose images from home design magazines or you may print images from the internet.
